Oricom IP7 USB Handsets

I just scored an awesome deal. 8 Oricom IP 7 USB handsets for $5 each, reduced from $50 at Harvey Norman. The sales staff could not believe their eyes when they saw me carting them off to the checkout!

This means that I can use them for our call centre when we get around to building it!

In the interim, they will be teamed up with x-ten’s useful eyebeam softphone.

Another great softphone I’m evaluating is Express Talk from NCH Swift Sound. It’s awesome, so much configurability and cheap!

I wish someone would bring out a softphone that can load a contact list from an ODBC connection.

It would be great to search our church phone list from within the SIP client!

I have also been thinking about call centre software as well, how we will divvy up calls within age groups and track connections within church.

G’day. I did the same, purchasing 2 phones from Hardly Normal here in the Northern Territory. I am wondering, what software you are using with them (I assume not engin) and are you able to get the phone to work completely?

Your assistance is appreciated.

Mozz =)
